COVID-19

COVID-19 Testing Update

Starting May 6, 2020, Creek Valley Health Clinic will be providing COVID-19 antibody testing. This simple blood test will be available to established patients in order to determine if they have been exposed to the novel coronavirus and are now building immunity to it.

In order to get an antibody test, you must first establish care at our clinic. If you're a new patient, you need to fill out new patient paperwork either in person or available for download in the Patient Resources section of our website. Once your paperwork is finished, you will meet with your provider to discuss any valid reasons for getting the antibody test (this step will be the same for established patients). Valid reasons for testing include:

  • active signs/symptoms AND hospitalized (or being admitted) AND symptom onset at least 8 days ago
  • active signs/symptoms AND symptom onset at least 14 days ago
  • close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patient at least 21 days ago
  • resolved, undiagnosed respiratory illness in 2020

If you feel like you're currently developing symptoms or have been exposed recently (within 14 days), we can perform a nasal swab to test for COVID-19. These symptoms include (but are not limited to):

  • high fever
  • dry cough
  • shortness of breath
  • loss of smell or taste
  • muscle aches or pains

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please call us and we can instruct you on how to receive a test. We ask that you stay in your car for your paperwork and procedure. DO NOT come into the clinic. We will perform the test in the comfort of your own vehicle while wearing the appropriate protective gear.

Results are typically received 1-5 days after the test has been sent.
