Substance Use Disorder and Medication Assisted Treatment

What We Do

Medication Assisted Treatment

Are you or someone you know struggling with alcohol or opioid misuse?

Creek Valley Health Clinic offers Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Substance Use Disorder. MAT is treatment for alcohol and opioid addiction that includes the use of medication along with counseling.

If you are struggling with dependency or misuse of alcohol or opioids, treatment with medication can help minimize the affects of withdrawal and cravings, making it easier to focus on your recovery and return to a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.

Some medications that have proven effective in treating opioid addiction are:

  • Buprenorphine
  • Naltrexone
  • Suboxone/Subutex
  • Vivitrol

We also have FREE Narcan for overdose reversal.

MAT is not replacing one addictive drug with another. It's a safe and controlled amount of medication, administered to the patient under a licensed medical professional's care. Along with medication, our counselors are dedicated to supporting you in your recovery. Counseling can provide you with the encouragement to stay committed to your treatment, as well as help foster your skills to make healthy life choices, and cope with life's setbacks and stresses. Counseling also gives you the resources to confront and solve the issues in your life that are tied to the substance use disorder; issues like low self-esteem or toxic environments at work or home, or surrounding yourself with people who misuse drugs and alcohol.

The combination of medication and counseling is life-changing and effective in helping you transition into recovery and an addiction-free lifestyle.

Addiction is a disease and recovery is possible.
